U.S. Bankruptcy Court and Magistrate Judges - Road to the Bench Event
The Administrative Office of the United States Courts is sponsoring an event to increase the awareness of diverse candidates about the opportunities for service as magistrate and bankruptcy judges. The event is scheduled for Monday, April 3, 2023, in Phoenix and Tucson. The Phoenix event will be held at the Sandra Day O’Connor Courthouse, and the Tucson event will be held at the Evo DeConcini Courthouse.
The event will include a nationally televised video presentation featuring several circuit court judges. After the video presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to speak in small groups with sitting 9th Circuit Court, Arizona District Court, Magistrate and Bankruptcy Court judges about their pathways to the bench. Refreshments will be provided, and the attendees and judges are encouraged to mingle and informally discuss these opportunities to serve the federal judiciary.
