About this event
Welcome, party animals, to our wildly fun 2026 Family Day at the Zoo! Get ready to unleash your inner explorer and have a roaring good time with friends, family, and some truly paws-itively amazing creatures.
The first 20 AWLA members to register (and show up on time) will snag $20 in Zoo Bucks—talk about a roar-some perk! Use them to treat your herd to snacks or pick up something wildly memorable from the gift shop. Arrive any time after 9:00 am and jump right into the adventure—or, if you’re a member, the early bird gets the worm with exclusive entry starting at 8:00 am (no squawking required!). Typically, registrants must cover their own admission to the Zoo, but please contact us if you need help securing a discounted ticket or membership.
Meet up with the group at 9:30 am at Harmony Farm for a picture-perfect moment and to collect your Zoo Bucks, then slither, scamper, or stampede over to the Doornbos Discovery Amphitheater for the 10:30 am Live Ambassador Animal Show—it’s sure to be paws-down amazing. Be sure not to miss Dinosaurs in the Desert, an exhibit last seen in 2023, which is back and bigger than ever!
