Join AWLA Members, Valorie Douglas and CJ Pommier, Ph.D. for a descriptive tour of OpenAI’s popular chatbot and legal ethical issues surrounding its use. Both Valorie and CJ bridge the worlds of science & engineering and the law, and they combine their technical experience with legal knowledge to bring clarity to this expanding area.

Valorie Douglas has a background in physics and astronomy, and she worked with electro-optical sensors in space and aerospace applications for 18 years before switching to law. During those years, she wrote code for data mining and machine learning.

Dr. CJ Pommier has a background in analytical chemistry, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals. She developed products for 19 years and published papers on her supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms..




*The State Bar of Arizona does not approve or accredit CLE activities for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirement.  This activity may qualify for up to 1.0 hour toward your annual CLE requirement for the State Bar of Arizona, including 1.0 hour of professional responsibility.
