Time on Your Own to Watch the Legislative Process Afterwards

Do you want to make your voice heard at the legislature? The Mothers’ Forum of the Maricopa Chapter is hosting A Day at the Capitol to help you learn about our legislature and give you the opportunity to exercise your voice. Arizona Secretary of State Legislative Affairs Director Will Goana will discuss the legislative process, how to track and monitor bills, and the Right to Speak ("RTS") system.

The discussion will take place in the historic Supreme Court on the second floor of the Arizona Capitol Museum from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Then, you will have the opportunity to go speak to your legislators, participate in a committee hearing, or just learn a little bit about Arizona history by wandering the halls of the Arizona State Museum. You do not want to miss this event!

Attendance is limited to 70 registrants. This event is limited to the following attendees: all AWLA members; all members of other collaborative bar associations; all Sandra Day O'Connor School of Law WLSA members.

PLEASE LOG IN BEFORE REGISTERING.

Please arrive early. Because this event is being held during the legislative session, there may be difficulty finding parking. There is parking by Wesley Bolin Plaza (East of the Capitol building), as well as lots West of the Executive Tower. Note there are metal detectors in the Executive Tower and the State House and Senate.
